You often compliment us on the speck here in San Candido. Today we would like to introduce you to our trusted butcher: Lois Villgrater from Sesto – We are sure some of you already know who he is!
Lois supplies the Boutique & Gourmet Hotel Orso Grigio with his excellent products year-round. Since 1963 he has been working out of his butcher’s shop in Sesto (just a few kilometers from us) and still uses a mixture of spices from yore, according to traditional methods.
His specialties – in particular speck ham – are prepared following long-established recipes and reflect the unique nature of our culinary culture. His high quality products are sought-after and celebrated: we are proud to support and contribute to the growth of this South Tyrolean local artisan treasure.
