Host Franz Ladinser laughs heartily. Hospitality runs in the veins of the Orso Grigio, the traditional 4-star hotel in the centre of San Candido, closed to the Tre Cime in the Dolomites: over 500 years ago pilgrims and merchants stopped at the inn, the oldest accommodation in this historic place in Alta Pusteria in South Tyrol. Since 1745 the house has been in the family. Today, Franz Ladinser and his daughter Verena are the 9th and 10th generation of the family to run it. Since its establishment, the hotel has always adapted to the needs of the times and its guests. Nevertheless, the traces of its long history have been preserved and can be experienced in its ambience. This makes the Orso Grigio a small, chic 4-star hotel in the pedestrian area of the village with all the comforts, with an excellent cuisine and a well-stocked wine cellar.

The 4-star Hotel Orso Grigio in San Candido boasts a very long tradition. The late-Gothic reception hall and the Biedermeier parlor bear witness to its past. The modern design of the dining room and the café set contemporary counterpoints. Its 28 rooms combine historical flair and today’s linearity and offer every comfort.
